DNAJB6 pseudogene 3 (DNAJB6P3) is a noncoding genomic sequence with high similarity to the protein-coding DNAJB6 gene. It does not produce a functional protein and is therefore *not* considered a molecular target for therapeutics, biomarker research, or mechanistic study. DNAJB6P3 is distinct from the canonical DNAJB6, which encodes a ubiquitous Hsp40 co-chaperone known for its role in inhibiting the aggregation of misfolded proteins and maintaining cellular protein homeostasis[1][2][4][5]. DNAJB6 dysfunction has been linked to several human diseases, but pseudogenes like DNAJB6P3 have not been implicated in disease mechanisms or drug development.
