DND1P1 is a human pseudogene with high sequence similarity to the microRNA-mediated repression inhibitor DND1[1][4]. Pseudogenes such as DND1P1 do not encode functional proteins but may play biological roles as RNA molecules, including acting as ceRNAs that interact with microRNAs and mRNAs in regulatory networks[2][3]. Pseudogenes may have tissue-specific or disease-related expression patterns and affect gene regulation through antisense, RNA interference, or miRNA decoy mechanisms[2][3].
