Mechanism of action

Mobilization agents (G-CSF, Plerixafor, Motixafortide) disrupt the interaction between hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells and the bone marrow microenvironment, specifically by interfering with the CXCR4/CXCL12 axis, leading to increased release of these cells into the peripheral blood. The mobilized cells are then collected via leukapheresis and used for transplantation or cellular therapy.
