Target intelligence / Profile preview
DPH6 divergent transcript is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene situated near the DPH6 protein-coding gene and transcribed in the opposite (divergent) direction. It is also referenced as an antisense RNA relative to neighboring ATPBD4/DPH6 loci. Consistent with other divergent lncRNAs, no protein product is generated. Current genomic and transcriptomic databases do not report a biological function, direct involvement in disease, or therapeutic relevance for the DPH6-DT transcript. The main functional studies pertain to the DPH6 protein-coding gene, which is involved in diphthamide biosynthesis, not the divergent transcript. DPH6-DT is not a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or recognized disease gene in the context of drug development or clinical intervention. There is no indication of misspelling or major information error, but the entry may be confusing if conflated with the protein-coding DPH6 gene (which has established enzymatic roles).
Null (no mechanisms defined involving this non-coding RNA)
