DPPA3 pseudogene 10 is a processed (retrotransposed) pseudogene derived from the parental gene DPPA3. Pseudogenes are non-functional segments of DNA that resemble functional genes but typically do not encode active proteins due to disabling mutations. Unlike its parent, DPPA3P10 does not appear to produce a functional RNA or protein and lacks evidence for either coding potential or regulatory activity. DPPA3P10 is not a recognized therapeutic target and does not belong to classical functional gene families such as receptors, enzymes, ion channels, or transcription factors. Its existence is primarily as a genomic remnant; therefore, it has no established direct biological function, disease relevance, or drug interactions. Some other pseudogenes are known to act in gene regulation (e.g., as microRNA decoys or regulators of parent gene expression), but there is no published evidence for DPPA3P10 performing such roles.
