Target intelligence / Profile preview
DPPA4 pseudogene 2 (DPPA4P2) is a non-coding genomic sequence similar to the DPPA4 gene, which itself encodes a nuclear factor involved in pluripotency and early embryogenesis. Pseudogenes such as DPPA4P2 are genomic DNA sequences similar to a functional gene but typically do not produce a functional gene product. DPPA4P2 does not encode an active protein and has no recognized role in normal physiology or disease. It is not used as a biomarker nor targeted by therapeutic drugs.
