Dual specificity protein phosphatase 10 (DUSP10) is a cytoplasmic and nuclear enzyme that dephosphorylates both phosphoserine/threonine and phosphotyrosine residues on its substrates, especially members of the MAPK family such as p38 and JNK but not ERK[1][2][6]. By inactivating MAPKs, DUSP10 negatively regulates cellular processes including proliferation, differentiation, and the response to stress and inflammation[1][2][6]. DUSP10 is widely expressed, inducible by external stress stimuli, and its dysregulation has been associated with diseases such as cancer and inflammation[2].
