Dual specificity protein phosphatase 13A (DUSP13A)

Target
DUSP13A
Molecular classification
Enzyme, Protein tyrosine phosphatase, Dual specificity phosphatase
01

Overview

Dual specificity protein phosphatase 13A (DUSP13A) is an enzyme of the protein tyrosine phosphatase superfamily that acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine/threonine residues. It is expressed primarily in skeletal muscle and has regulatory roles in apoptosis signaling (notably MAP3K5/ASK1-mediated pathways). DUSP13A is considered a druggable target due to its allosteric sites as revealed by structural studies, with potential roles in cell growth, differentiation, and disease states including certain cancers and metabolic disorders
