Dual specificity tyrosine-phosphorylation-regulated kinase 3 (DYRK3)

Target
DYRK3
Molecular classification
Enzyme, Protein Kinase, Dual-Specificity Kinase, DYRK family
01

Overview

DYRK3 is a dual-specificity protein kinase involved in various cellular processes, including organelle dynamics during mitosis and regulation of erythropoiesis. It autophosphorylates on both serine/threonine and tyrosine residues and can phosphorylate histones. Its kinase activity is crucial for the disassembly of membraneless organelles during mitosis. DYRK3 also plays a role in erythroid cell development by modulating cell survival and inhibiting apoptosis. It has potential involvement in cAMP/PKA signaling pathways.
