Dynamin 1 pseudogene 32 (DNM1P32) is a pseudogene related to the dynamin family and specifically to dynamin 1, which is a GTPase involved in membrane fission and endocytosis. However, DNM1P32 itself does not produce a functional protein and does not serve as a molecular target for drugs or therapeutic intervention. Pseudogenes are generally genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but nonfunctional; they may result from gene duplication or retrotransposition and typically lack protein-coding ability or regulatory sequences necessary for expression[4].
