Dynamin 1 pseudogene 47 (DNM1P47) is a human pseudogene derived from the DNM1 gene. It does not code for a functional protein and is not known to have any biological or pathological function[6][2]. It is titled "pseudogene" because, while it shares sequence similarity with the protein-coding DNM1 gene (which encodes the large GTPase dynamin-1 involved in endocytosis and synaptic function), DNM1P47 is a non-functional genomic fragment.
