DYNC1LI2 divergent transcript" (DYNC1LI2-DT) refers to an RNA gene that is transcribed in the chromosomal region adjacent to or overlapping the DYNC1LI2 gene, but does not encode a characterized protein product. It is annotated as a non-coding RNA, and there is currently no evidence to support a defined biological function, druggability, involvement in disease, or use as a therapeutic target. This is distinct from the protein-coding DYNC1LI2 gene (dynein, cytoplasmic 1, light intermediate chain 2), which is a component of the cytoplasmic dynein motor complex and is important in mitotic cell processes[1][4]; the divergent transcript itself remains poorly characterized and should not be confused with the protein-coding dynein component.
