Dynein light chain Tctex-type 3 pseudogene 2 (DYNLT3P2) is a human pseudogene located in the genome that shares high sequence similarity to the protein-coding gene DYNLT3 but does not produce a functional protein product due to acquired disabling sequence changes[6][4]. While pseudogenes may have regulatory roles in some cases—such as serving as sources for small RNAs that regulate gene expression—there is no evidence that DYNLT3P2 has such a function at present[2][6]. Unlike its functional paralog DYNLT3, which encodes a component of the cytoplasmic dynein motor complex involved in intracellular transport and cell cycle regulation, DYNLT3P2 is not implicated as a molecular or therapeutic target and has no direct links to disease or drug interactions[3][5][6].
