Overview

DYNLRB2-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA encoded on the antisense strand of the DYNLRB2 gene. It has been identified as one of the most upregulated lncRNAs in gemcitabine-resistant nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell lines. Functionally, it promotes cell proliferation and oncogenicity while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, DYNLRB2-AS1 binds to the DHX9 protein, preventing its ubiquitin-mediated degradation, which contributes to chemoresistance. These characteristics make it a potential biomarker for chemotherapy resistance in cancer but do not classify it as a canonical "drug target" like a receptor or enzyme.
