Cbl-b is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that plays a central role in the ubiquitination pathway. It negatively regulates immune cell activation, particularly in T cells and B cells, by promoting the degradation of key signaling molecules. Mutations or dysregulation of Cbl-b are associated with autoimmune diseases, and it is being explored as a therapeutic target in cancer immunotherapy to enhance anti-tumor immunity.
