Target intelligence / Profile preview

Ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 1 (ENTPD1)

Target
ENTPD1
Molecular classification
Enzyme, Ectonucleotidase
01

Overview

ENTPD1/CD39 is a cell surface enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of nucleoside triphosphates (NTPs) and diphosphates (NDPs), such as ATP and ADP, to their corresponding monophosphates (AMP). It plays a critical role in modulating immune cell chemotaxis, regulating vascular endothelial function, preventing desensitization of platelet receptors, and generating extracellular adenosine.
