Target intelligence / Profile preview
EFHD2 antisense RNA 1 (EFHD2-AS1, LOC124903852) is a predicted long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed antisense to the EFHD2 gene locus. There is currently no published research describing the specific biological function, disease association, or therapeutic targeting of EFHD2-AS1. Unlike the protein-coding EFHD2 gene, which encodes a calcium-binding adaptor protein implicated in immune signaling, cancer, and cellular cytoskeletal dynamics[1][3][4], EFHD2-AS1 has not been characterized as a receptor, transporter, enzyme, or drug target. No known drugs or mechanisms of action have been reported for this RNA. Its biological relevance, expression profile, and potential as a biomarker remain unestablished in the scientific literature.
