EIF3J antisense RNA 1 (EIF3J-AS1)

Target
EIF3J-AS1
Molecular classification
Other (long non-coding RNA, divergent transcript)

Overview

EIF3J divergent transcript (also called EIF3J-AS1 or EIF3J antisense RNA 1) is a long non-coding RNA produced from the DNA sequence antisense to the protein-coding EIF3J gene. Unlike EIF3J itself—which encodes a core subunit of the eukaryotic initiation factor 3 complex (involved in translation initiation at ribosomes)[3]—EIF3J-DT is a regulatory transcript not known to directly encode a functional protein or serve as a druggable entity. No literature establishes its role as a receptor, enzyme, transporter, or therapeutic target or its involvement in disease or response to drugs.
