Eimeria tenella antigen refers to a group of proteins derived from the protozoan parasite Eimeria tenella, which is the primary causative agent of cecal coccidiosis in poultry. These antigens, including microneme proteins (e.g., EtMic2), apical membrane antigens (e.g., EtAMA1), and surface antigens (e.g., EtSAGs), play critical roles in the parasite's life cycle, particularly in host cell recognition, attachment, and penetration of the intestinal epithelium (PubMed: 31253156).
