Target intelligence / Profile preview
ELF2 pseudogene 2 (ELF2P2) is a processed pseudogene related to the ELF2 gene, which encodes a member of the ETS transcription factor family. Unlike the parent ELF2 gene, ELF2P2 does not code for a functional protein and is not known to have independent biological roles or clinical relevance as a therapeutic target. Pseudogenes are generally regarded as non-functional genomic loci, though in some cases they may regulate other genes at the RNA level; there is currently no evidence that ELF2P2 fulfills such a function.
