ELF2 pseudogene 3 (ELF2P3)

ELF2 pseudogene 3 (ELF2P3) is annotated as a pseudogene of the ELF2 (E74 Like ETS Transcription Factor 2) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic sequences similar to known genes but considered nonfunctional as they generally do not encode functional proteins[3][4]. While some pseudogenes can have regulatory roles at the RNA level—such as acting as competitive endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs)[4]—there is no specific evidence that ELF2P3 plays such a role.
