Multiple aliases exist due to evolving gene nomenclature and annotation, including past confusion with protein-coding Elongin A3. Current evidence classifies ELOA3P clearly as a pseudogene, not a therapeutic or druggable target, with no established biological functions or disease associations[1][2].
