Elongin C pseudogene 13 (ELOCP13) is a non-protein-coding gene annotated in the human genome, derived from duplication or retrotransposition of the functional elongin C gene (ELOC). Unlike its counterpart ELOC, ELOCP13 does not produce a functional protein and is classified as a pseudogene. It has no known biological activity, is not involved in disease or therapeutic mechanisms, has not been linked to drug interactions, and is not considered a valid molecular target for drug development or biomarker analysis.
