Target intelligence / Profile preview
Elongin C pseudogene 24 (ELOCP24, also known as TCEB1P24 or TCEB1P25) is classified as a pseudogene, specifically a non-protein-coding gene that comprises regions similar to those encoding elongin C, a regulatory component of the transcription factor B (SIII) complex. Unlike the functional elongin C gene (ELOC), which forms part of a protein complex essential for transcriptional elongation and proteasomal targeting in cells, ELOCP24 does not encode a protein and has no known biological activity, molecular function, or disease association. There are no drugs known to interact with this pseudogene, and it is not considered a therapeutic target.
