Target intelligence / Profile preview

Endoglin (CD105)

Target
CD105
Molecular classification
Type I transmembrane glycoprotein, TGF-beta receptor complex component, Receptor
01

Overview

Endoglin (CD105) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and a member of the TGF-beta receptor complex. It is highly expressed on proliferating vascular endothelial cells, particularly during angiogenesis, and plays a crucial role in modulating cellular responses to TGF-beta superfamily ligands. It is a therapeutic target for antiangiogenic therapies in cancer.
