Overview

Endometrial lesions are patches, nodules, or cysts of endometrial-like tissue that grow outside the uterus (primarily in the pelvic region), leading to inflammation, scar formation, pain, infertility, and other complications of endometriosis. These lesions are hormonally responsive and may proliferate, bleed, and induce local neuroangiogenesis, leading to chronic pain and other systemic effects. Treatment focuses on hormonal suppression or surgical excision, but no single molecular target exists
