Target intelligence / Profile preview
Endometrial proliferation is a hormonally regulated physiological process essential for female fertility. It involves the thickening of the uterine lining (endometrium) during the first half of the menstrual cycle (proliferative phase) under the influence of estrogen. This process prepares the uterus for potential embryo implantation. Abnormalities in this process can lead to various clinical issues including infertility, abnormal bleeding, and increased risk of endometrial hyperplasia and cancer.
Estrogen stimulates endometrial cell division via estrogen receptor signaling.
