The endosomal membrane is the lipid bilayer that surrounds endosomes, which are intracellular organelles involved in sorting and trafficking proteins, lipids, and other molecules within eukaryotic cells. The endosomal membrane plays a central role in the endocytic pathway by mediating vesicle fusion, cargo sorting, and communication with other organelles such as lysosomes and the Golgi apparatus.
