Target intelligence / Profile preview
Endothelial-specific molecule 1 (EDIL3), also known as Del-1, is a secreted extracellular matrix protein primarily expressed by endothelial tissues during embryonic vascular development. In adults, expression is generally low but can be re-induced under pathological conditions. EDIL3 promotes angiogenesis, endothelial cell survival, and modulates immune cell recruitment. It interacts with integrins via an RGD motif and influences LFA-1/ICAM-1 interaction. It is overexpressed in some tumors, potentially contributing to abnormal neovascularization and immune exclusion.
