Energy homeostasis-associated protein (ENHO), also known as adropin, is a secreted hormone involved in the regulation of glucose and lipid metabolism as well as energy homeostasis. It is predicted to enable hormone activity, participate in the positive regulation of Notch signaling, and is localized mainly in the extracellular region and associated with the plasma membrane. Mutations or dysfunction in ENHO have been linked to disorders of lipid metabolism[2][3].
