Enolase 1 pseudogene 1 (ENO1P1) is a human genomic pseudogene with high sequence similarity to the active enolase 1 (ENO1) gene. Unlike ENO1, which codes for the alpha-enolase glycolytic enzyme involved in critical cellular processes and is implicated in various cancers, ENO1P1 does not encode a functional protein, is not involved in biological pathways or disease mechanisms, and is not classified as a drug target, biomarker, or safety concern. Canonically, pseudogenes like ENO1P1 are considered non-functional genomic DNA without direct physiological role, though areas of research occasionally examine regulatory involvement of pseudogenes; however, no such role is documented for ENO1P1[3][6]. For structured data modeling or therapeutic targeting purposes, information for ENO1P1 is limited and it should not be included as a canonical therapeutic target. Where relevant, active ENO1 (alpha-enolase) itself should be used instead.
