EPH Receptor Family Kinase (EPH Receptors)

Target
EPH Receptors
Molecular classification
Receptor, Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK), Kinase
01

Overview

The EPH receptor family comprises the largest group of receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs), with at least 15 distinct members identified in humans. These receptors play critical roles in cell positioning, migration, tissue patterning, axon guidance, and angiogenesis during development and disease processes. Activation requires direct cell-cell contact and leads to bidirectional signaling, influencing both receptor-expressing and ligand-expressing cells. Dysregulation is implicated in various cancers, making them therapeutic targets.
