Target intelligence / Profile preview
The ERBB family, also known as the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) family, comprises four closely related receptor tyrosine kinases: EGFR/ERBB1/HER1, ERBB2/HER2/Neu, ERBB3/HER3, and ERBB4/HER4. These receptors are critical regulators of cell proliferation, survival, differentiation, and migration in both development and adult tissue maintenance. Dysregulation, often via overexpression or mutation, is implicated in various cancers. EGFR and HER2 are validated targets for anti-cancer therapies.
Inhibition of tyrosine kinase activity; blockade of ligand binding/dimerization
