Overview

Epithelial cell transforming sequence 2 oncogene-like (ECT2L) is a human protein encoded by the ECT2L gene on chromosome 6. It is predicted to act as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF), and contains F-box and DH (Dbl homology) domains. Clinically, recurrent mutations in this gene have been associated with cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia and other hematologic cancers. Its precise molecular function and broader biological roles remain under-characterized, and it is not currently a validated therapeutic target[3][4][5][10].
