Overview
Equatorin (EQTN) is an acrosomal membrane-anchored protein mainly involved in the processes of fertilization and acrosome biogenesis in sperm cells[1][6]. It is implicated in acrosomal vesicle exocytosis, endocytosis, and the fusion of the sperm with the egg plasma membrane during fertilization[1][5][6]. Mutations or dysfunction in EQTN can be associated with male infertility[1]. There is no evidence that Equatorin is a therapeutic target, receptor, transporter, enzyme, or subject of interacting drugs[1][5][6].
