Erythroid differentiation regulator 1 (ERDR1)

Target
ERDR1
Molecular classification
Secreted protein, Cytokine-like factor
01

Overview

Erythroid differentiation regulator 1 (ERDR1) is a secreted, highly conserved protein involved in regulating cell growth homeostasis, apoptosis, immune responses, and tissue repair. It acts as a multifunctional molecule influencing cell proliferation and death balance, with concentration-dependent effects. ERDR1 also plays a crucial role in immune modulation by influencing T-cell function and macrophage polarization. Furthermore, it promotes wound healing through the induction of CCL2 production and activation of MAP kinase pathways. Therapeutic potential exists in cancer, skin diseases, and rheumatoid arthritis.

02

Mechanism of action

Induces or suppresses cellular proliferation/survival depending on concentration/cell density. Triggers apoptotic pathways via caspase activation and modulation of key regulators like Bcl‑2/Bax. Engages multiple signaling cascades including MAPKs and Hippo-YAP axis.
