Overview
Estrogen Receptor Beta (ERβ) is a nuclear receptor activated by estrogen. It functions as a transcription factor, regulating gene expression and playing a role in various biological processes, including tumor suppression, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. It is expressed in a broad range of tissues, and loss of expression is associated with cancer progression in some cases.
