Overview

ETS-family transcription factors are a large family of transcription factors unique to animals, characterized by a conserved DNA-binding domain (ETS domain). They regulate gene expression across diverse biological processes including cellular differentiation, cell cycle control, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and immune function. They are implicated in various diseases, particularly cancer, through gene fusions, deregulated expression, and promotion of tumor progression.
