Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1 pseudogene 37 (EEF1A1P37) is a processed pseudogene corresponding to the functional gene EEF1A1, which encodes a critical GTPase responsible for delivery of aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome during protein synthesis[2][4]. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are nonfunctional; they may arise via gene duplication or retrotransposition and typically lack the ability to encode functional proteins. While some pseudogenes can have regulatory effects by producing non-coding RNAs, there is no direct evidence for functional roles of EEF1A1P37 in human disease or biology. It is not considered a drug target, nor is it associated with known drugs or disease mechanisms[2][4].
