Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 alpha 1 pseudogene 7 (EEF1A1P7) is a processed pseudogene derived from the EEF1A1 gene, which encodes a key translation elongation factor involved in protein biosynthesis. EEF1A1P7 is located on chromosome 19q13.12 and is one of many retropseudogenes of EEF1A1 identified by genome sequence analysis. There is currently no experimental evidence supporting a protein-coding function, biological activity, or established role in disease for this pseudogene. It may appear in cancer association datasets but has not been validated functionally as a therapeutic target or as a biomarker[1].
