EEF1GP7 is one of several predicted pseudogenes related to the eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1 gamma (EEF1G). Pseudogenes such as EEF1GP7 are classified as processed pseudogenes, meaning they likely arose from retrotransposition events but do not produce a functional transcript or protein. Unlike the parent EEF1G, which is involved in the elongation step of protein translation and may play regulatory roles in cancer and other diseases, EEF1GP7 itself is only identified at the sequence level and has not been functionally characterized in human cells. There is currently no experimental evidence for its transcription, translation, or biological impact[1][2].
