FAM124A, or Family with sequence similarity 124 member A, encodes a protein of uncertain function. Studies have found its expression is upregulated during severe pulmonary infection (notably Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia) and implicated in growth regulation in poultry. While associated with a “FAM124 domain,” it has not been classified as an enzyme, receptor, or any established drug target family.
