FAS-41BB Switch Receptor (FAS-41BB)

Target
FAS-41BB
Molecular classification
Chimeric receptor, Fusion protein, Immunomodulatory receptor, T cell costimulatory receptor
01

Overview

The FAS-41BB switch receptor is an engineered chimeric receptor designed to redirect the pro-apoptotic signal induced by Fas ligand (FasL) in the tumor microenvironment into a pro-survival and costimulatory signal for T cells. It consists of the extracellular domain of Fas (CD95) fused to the intracellular signaling domain of 4-1BB (CD137). This receptor is primarily used in adoptive cell therapies, such as TCR-T and CAR-T cells, to enhance T cell persistence, proliferation, and anti-tumor activity within the suppressive tumor microenvironment by converting a death signal into an activating one.
