Fascin actin-bundling protein 1 pseudogene 1 (FSCN1P1) is a non-protein-coding pseudogene located in the human genome. Although unable to produce a functional fascin protein, some research suggests stage-specific upregulation of FSCN1P1 in certain cancers, with possible involvement in cellular reprogramming and differentiation within cancer gene regulatory networks. Like other pseudogenes, it may exert an indirect regulatory function—such as acting as a competing endogenous RNA or influencing post-transcriptional regulation—but is not itself a protein or classic therapeutic target.
