Fatty acid transporters are a family of membrane-associated proteins that mediate the uptake of long-chain fatty acids into cells. These transporters play a critical role in cellular energy metabolism, lipid homeostasis, and signaling pathways. Major types include CD36, FATPs (SLC27 family), Plasma Membrane Fatty Acid-Binding Protein (FABPpm), and G Protein–Coupled Receptors such as FFAR1 and FFAR4.
