Fc fragment of IgE receptor gamma polypeptide (FCER1G) encodes the gamma chain subunit of the high affinity IgE receptor (FcεRI), which is a tetrameric receptor central to allergic reactions and type I hypersensitivity. The gamma chain contains an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) and acts as a signal transducer for multiple immunoreceptors in various immune cell types. It participates in the immune response, allergic inflammation, and cancer immune regulation
