Overview

Fc gamma receptor IIB (FcγRIIB) is a low-affinity inhibitory receptor for the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG). It plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses by acting as a negative regulator of cell activation, proliferation, endocytosis, phagocytosis, and degranulation. It is the only inhibitory type I human/mouse Fc gamma receptor due to its ITIM motif.
