Fc gamma receptor on phagocyte (None)

Target
None
Molecular classification
Receptor, Immunoglobulin superfamily
01

Overview

Fc gamma receptors (FcγRs) are a family of cell surface glycoproteins found predominantly on phagocytes such as macrophages and neutrophils. They bind to the Fc region of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies that are attached to pathogens or infected cells, facilitating immune responses including phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and modulation of inflammatory processes. There are three main classes of FcγRs based on their affinity for IgG: FcγRI (CD64), FcγRII (CD32), and FcγRIII (CD16).
