Fc receptor-like protein 5 (FCRL5), also known as CD307, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells. It acts as both a negative and positive coreceptor depending on the context, playing a role in modulating B-cell responses to antigen. It contains an ITAM-like sequence and two ITIMs in its cytoplasmic tail. FCRL5 binds to intact native human IgGs, recognizing all subclasses with variable affinities. This interaction allows it to fine-tune humoral immunity by integrating signals from bound antibody ligands with those from antigen-engaged B-cell receptors.
