Fc receptor-positive effector cells are immune cells that express Fc receptors (FcRs) on their surface. These receptors specifically bind to the Fc region of antibodies, enabling the immune system to link antibody recognition of pathogens or infected cells with cellular effector functions such as phagocytosis, cytotoxicity, and inflammation. Main cell types include macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, eosinophils, natural killer (NK) cells, dendritic cells, and mast cells. These cells mediate functions like phagocytosis, antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), degranulation, and cytokine production.
